Tuning
The many parts of a revolver are all interlinked and must operate in the proper sequence. Adjust one and the change works its way down through the sequence of movements affecting each other part. Tuning is the name given to adjusting all parts of a revolver to work as required.
Specification Checks
More than any other design, the revolver has clear, and somewhat universal, specific minimum and maximum clearances and tolerances. We measure and report head space, barrel to cylinder gap, cylinder and yoke rotational trueness, endshake, firing pin energy, ranging and other measures of revolver safety and performance.
Chamfer barrel throat
Accuracy depends in part on a smooth transition into the barrel across the gap from the cylinder. Bullet alignment with the rifling is refined and made repeatable.
De-spur Hammer
We remove the hammer spur to make pocketing the revolver easier.
Part Fabrication
We make new firing pins.
